Page last updated: June 23, 2020 at 11:12AM EST

As we monitor global developments related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), our priority remains to provide our customers with an amazing vacation experience. That means keeping you informed every step of the way and providing you with important information you should know before you go.

In an abundance of caution, all Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) cruise lines have voluntarily and temporarily suspended operations until September 15, 2020. Adjustments to their cancellation and payment policies provide you with greater confidence, flexibility and options for your cruise vacation.

Cruising with confidence means that your Vacation Specialist is here for you before, during and after your vacation. With our Cruise Fare Watch tool, we automatically monitor the price of your cruise and are alerted if the price drops so we can look into saving you money or getting you an upgrade.

CRUISING CONTINUES TO BE ONE OF THE SAFEST WAYS TO TRAVEL

Every cruise line takes extreme precautions in sanitizing their ships to prevent contamination and the spread of an illness. Methods employed to keep passengers healthy include:

  • Thoroughly sanitizing the cruise ship terminal before and after every sailing
  • Hand-sanitizing stations located throughout the ship, including dining areas
  • Signage encouraging passengers to wash their hands with regularity for the duration of their cruise
  • Medical experts (onboard & onshore) monitor, advise, and inform response procedures on an ongoing basis, and in coordination with global health authorities and local governments
  • Adjusting itineraries as needed to ensure they are never putting their guests and crew at risk of being exposed to any virus or illness in specific destinations
  • An emergency-preparedness plan, in the unlikely event of a widespread medical emergency

In addition, we know our customers have questions about their upcoming cruise and want to share the latest cruise line policy updates that provide options and flexibility should you want to reschedule your vacation. Check back for the latest Coronavirus Updates and Advisories as they become available.

In an abundance of caution, there have been several voluntary travel suspensions and port closures. Many cruise lines have increased their safety protocols with health screenings and travel history precautions. Please contact your Vacation Specialist who can help keep you informed with important travel information.

Cruise with Confidence

Given ongoing global public health circumstances, Celebrity Cruises. has decided to extend the suspension of most sailings through September 15, 2020. We are working with our guests and travel partners to address this disruption to their vacations and are genuinely sorry for their inconvenience. All guests sailing on or before September 15, 2020 may now choose to cancel their reservation up to 48 hours prior to departure. Should a guest wish to cancel after their final payment deadline, a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be administered. If you prefer to forfeit the higher value of the 125% Future Cruise Credit for all of the guests in your reservation and instead accept a 100% refund, you may contact us anytime up until the expiration date of your FCC.

If you are not yet in receipt of your Future Cruise Credit, Celebrity Cruises® is extending options through May 31st, 2020 for all guests intending to rebook using their Future Cruise Credit. Cunard Line

Everyone here at Cunard is aware of the need to support the further containment of COVID-19 globally. This of course includes protecting the health and safety of our guests and crew. In light of the recent government announcements it is clear that the original date of April 11 to resume sailings, is not feasible. Following the latest global guidelines surrounding Covid-19, Cunard is extending its operational pause up to (and including) November 1, 2020 for voyages on board Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, and November 23, 2020 for Queen Elizabeth. As we work through the evolving guidelines and restrictions in ports of call around the world, future itineraries may be subject to change and we are looking at how we phase our ships back into service.

All we ask is that your client makes the booking by the end of December 2021. Those guests who would prefer a 100% cash refund should fill out the online form, a link to which has been e-mailed directly to your client (where we hold a valid e-mail address). The form is easy to complete and means your clients should not need to call our customer service center. These guests have until November 30, 2020 to request a refund. Due to the extraordinary circumstances associated with COVID-19 and the associated impact to our customer service team and wider business, refunds may take up to 60 days to be processed.

Holland America Line

Due to continued global public health circumstances, Holland America Line has made the difficult decision to extend the suspension of global operations of its fleet, impacting sailings scheduled to depart through June 30, 2020. The impact of this decision will be far-reaching. For any clients who have a booking and expected to sail with us before June 30, 2020, we apologize and sincerely share in their disappointment. This includes Alaska, Canada/New England and Europe cruises in 2020. In Alaska, Holland America Line is also cancelling all Alaska sailings for summer 2020 on Maasdam, Noordam, Oosterdam, Volendam and Westerdam. In addition, all Land+Sea Journeys are cancelled. A Land+Sea Journey combines a Holland America Line Alaska cruise with an overland tour to Denali and the Yukon. The McKinley Chalet Resort, McKinley Explorer rail cars and tour motorcoaches will not operate this summer. In addition, Amsterdam will not operate the 79-day Grand Africa voyage that would have departed on October 3. Sailings departings from Vancouver, Canada in 2020, and select Hawaii itineraries for early 2021 have been canceled at this time.

  • Option #1: We would love to welcome you on board a future Holland America Line cruise. As an incentive to plan another voyage, you can choose to defer a refund and instead receive a future cruise credit for 125% of the base cruise fare paid plus an onboard credit of US$250 per person, which can be applied toward any future cruise(s) through December 31, 2021. Non-cruise fare purchases from Holland America Line will be refunded to the method of payment used for the original purchase. The terms and conditions of the Future Cruise Credit appear below.
  • Option #2: If you do not wish to receive the 125% future cruise credit plus US$250 onboard credit per person, a 100% refund of all monies paid will be reimbursed to the original form of payment. This includes Holland America Line's FlightEase air, Cancellation Protection Plan, Holland America Line pre- or post-cruise hotel packages or transfers, prepaid shore excursions and amenities purchased through Holland America Line, and taxes, fees, and port expenses.

If you do not respond by June 1st, you will be deemed to have elected a 125% future cruise credit plus US$250 per person onboard credit as outlined in Option #1 above. Please note, the future cruise credit may be cancelled at any time and the value, less the 25% bonus amount and US$250 per person onboard credit, will be refunded.

As a thank you to currently booked guests who join us for their cruise as planned, up to and including departures through May 31, 2020, we will provide an Onboard Credit of US$200 per stateroom/US$100 per person for voyages longer than 7 days and US$100 per stateroom/US$50 per person for voyages less than 6 days. This credit will be automatically applied to each eligible booking so you do not need to take any action.

On bookings made from March 1 through August 31, 2020, on sailings departing April 1 to October 15, 2020, you may cancel for any reason (up to 30 days before departure; additional restrictions apply) and receive a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of their full deposit and cancellation fees. In addition, this offer is combinable with all of our promotions, including the "Pack These Values" promotion, giving you even more reasons to book your next cruise vacation today.

Royal Caribbean International

Cruise with Confidence

At Royal Caribbean International, our guests and crew's safety and well-being are always our top priorities. After further consulting with our partners at Cruise Lines International Association and in conjunction with the CDC, we have decided to extend the suspension of sailings for our global fleet for all sailings through September 15th, 2020. Our goal is to resume operations on September 16, 2020. However, the following circumstances have extended the suspension for the following ships and sailings:

  • Canada sailings will be suspended through October 31, 2020, due to the Canadian government's extended travel ban on cruise ship travel.
  • Explorer of the Seas' revitalization will take place August 2020 given the closure of shipyards along with the disruption to the supply chain caused by this pandemic. As a result, Explorer's August 2020 sailings will be cancelled and the revitalization will be a technical dry dock where only routine maintenance work will take place.
  • Cruise terminals will remain closed in Copenhagen, Denmark and as a result, on June 11th, 2020 we decided to cancel the following sailings: Jewel of the Seas August 8th, 16th, and 23rd, 2020 sailings, & Brilliance of the Seas August 21st, 2020 sailing.
  • Bermuda sailings will be suspended through October 31st, 2020.
  • And, after further review with CLIA, the CDC and local governments, we decided to cancel Voyager of the Seas sailings through September 30th, 2020, and Spectrum of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas sailings through July 2020.

You'll be provided with a 125% Future Cruise Credit to enjoy a cruise by December 31, 2021

  • This amount will be based on your total cruise fare paid. And, we're giving you a little extra, knowing that this is such a unique circumstance.
  • We will automatically issue you your Future Cruise Credit by Monday, April 13th, 2020 via email. So, there's nothing for you to do!

Or, if you prefer the lower value in a full refund, we're happy to process this for you. Given how fluid this situation is, and the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have plenty of time to make up your mind. You have until December 31, 2021 to request a refund.

  • Please contact us to start the refund process, if you're willing to give up the higher value of your 125% Future Cruise Credit, we'll refund your original form(s) of payment, which will include any non-refundable deposits.

All guests sailing on or before July 31, 2020 may now choose to cancel their reservation up to 48 hours prior to departure. Should a guest wish to cancel after their final payment deadline, a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be administered. Guests can apply these credits to any future cruise of their choice departing on or before December 31, 2021.
